It's that time sweet friends. Way to go to the ones who have been faithful in memorizing one verse each month. For those of you who would like to but just haven't been able to make the commitment for whatever reason...here's your chance. Pick a verse or a passage of Scripture that speaks to your heart. Reply to this blog post by writing out your entire verse. Don't forget to include the verse's address and translation. Feel free to use mine. Here it is...
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24 (NIV)

June's Memory Verse
Below is my verse for June. Feel free to use it if you haven't come up with one yet for June. Also, please don't forget to respond to this post with your verse, the address and translation. We are halfway to our goal today. Let's not give up now. What encouragement it brings to me (and I'm sure - others) when getting to read the verse you've chosen for the month! Love y'all.

May's Memory Verse
Sisters,
Lately, I have found myself really missing y'all. This is such a busy time of year...I pray you not forget how much you are loved. The Women's Ministry Team has some fun things planned for the fall. I'm already anxious to see y'all.
Here is my verse for May...
"Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground." -Psalm 143:10 (NIV)
I am looking forward to reading your verses for the month. And like always, feel free to use the one I have chosen for May. Remember...comment to this post with your verse, its address, and the translation.
Love y'all!
Lindsey
P.S. If you have any ideas for the summer - activities, events, Bible studies, etc...please let me hear from you. Personally, I have a strong "itchin" for an in-depth Bible study. What about y'all? :)

Save the Date
Friends,
Save this VERY IMPORTANT date - April 10, 2010. Calvary Women's Ministry Team will be holding a first-time and extremely sentimental event. You won't want to miss it! Be looking in your "snail mail" this week for an important letter from me. Girls, I am so excited...and you will be, too.
Love to you ALL,

March 1 Memory Verse
Friends,
It is that time. It's time to choose another Scripture to memorize for the month of March. I plan to memorize Colossians 1:9-14. Since it is such a huge chunk of Scripture, I will break it down so that I can effectively memorize it as to apply it to my life. Here is the piece I plan to memorize for March...
"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,..." -Colossians 1:9-10
This passage is great to pray for yourself and/or others. I can't wait to hear from you. May God's Word transform our lives so that we can be effective Ambassors for Christ.
Go God!
Love,
Lindsey

February's Memory Verse
I always hated it when I let my parents down. I never wanted to disappoint them. Their approval of whatever I was doing was so crucial to my self-esteem. In a lot of ways, I am still that way today. Now though, more than ever, I want to be pleasing to my Heavenly Father. With that in mind, the Lord led me to a particular verse a couple of weeks ago that made the concept of pleasing Him much easier for me to understand. Here is my verse for February...
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. -Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
Wow! Without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God. Faith that promises that all the days of my life are in His hands. Faith that promises me that He will never leave me or forsake me. Faith that promises His love for me - so much as to send His only Son and have Him sacrificed for my behalf. Faith that promises that because I choose to believe in Him, then one day I will meet Him face-to-face and be given the privilege of spending eternity with Him.
Well, if that's true and I believe that it is...then, I'M IN! Even on days where my faith resembles the size of a mustard seed.
Lord, we are your's. We believe in You. We place our trust in You. We have faith that You are going to do what You have promised (Romans 4:20-21). Finish what You started in us, God. Your love is eternal. Don't quit on us now. (Psalm 138:7-8)

Needing Input
Friends,
The Women's Ministry Team and I are in the midst of planning some fun things for 2010. I so want this ministry to be a source of encouragement to you all.
So, with that in mind, I would totally appreciate it if you could simply reply to this post and let me know some of the issues/topics/event ideas/etc that you think our women could benefit from learning about and/or participating in.
You can choose to reply anonymously if you would like. Either way, please please please just let me hear from you. :)
Thank you so much. I love you all...to pieces!

My Challenge to YOU for 2010
Since our pastor has challenged us to share Christ with "ONE" in 2010, I thought it would be in our best interest to equip ourselves as best as we can. With that being said, here is my challenge to you for 2010...
Each month, I am asking you to choose "ONE" verse or passage of Scripture that you would like to memorize for the month. I will make a post on the 1st day of each month, starting in February, that will include my verse, its address, and the translation in which I am memorizing from. For example, the verse I have chosen to memorize for January is...
"Create in me a pure heart O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me."
Psalms 51:10-12 (NIV)
All you will have to do is reply to my post each month indicating the same information for your verse or passage of Scripture. I would like for us to be able to read one another's verse(s) so that we can see to what place the Lord has led you in His Word. Plus, some of us might want to memorize the same Scripture as you.
If you feel led to accept this challenge, simply reply to this post with a simple "count me in." I just have to wonder about the incredible stories that will come about as a result of committing ourselves to learning and applying God's Word to our lives. That is, in fact, what He has instructed us to do, right?
So, who's with me? Let me hear from you.
